ASEAN Special Envoy In Myanmar: SAC Chairman Receives Special Envoy And Secretary-General

Chairman of the State Administration Council [SAC] Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing on Monday received Mr. Prak Sokhonn, Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia and special envoy of ASEAN Chair to Myanmar, and Secretary-General of ASEAN Dato Lim Jock Hoi.

The meeting at the State Administration Council’s Chairman’s Office in Nay Pyi Taw focused on Myanmar’s multiparty democracy path since 2010, fraud in the 2020 multiparty democracy election, protests and violence due to political issues, the State Administration Council’s security measures for the public, implementation of the five-point consensus of ASEAN for Myanmar, humanitarian aid for Myanmar and acceleration of cooperation with the ASEAN member states. They also exchanged views on progress after talks.
