Efforts under way to get pet food aid into Ukraine

Humane Society International (HSI) and the Romanian Red Cross have launched an unprecedented program to get life-saving pet food into Ukraine.

The food is being directed towards animal shelters, veterinary clinics and rescue centers, as well as families stranded with pets. The first tonne of pet food was being rolled out with a Red Cross humanitarian convoy.
