Academic Affairs: Basic education schools in Shan State inspected

Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe together with Deputy Minister and official visited Kalaw No.1 Basic Education High Schoolin Shan State on Thursday to inspect school buildings, class rooms and school football ground.

During the inspection, the Union Minister fulfilled the needs for better look of the school and upgrading the school football field. From there, the Union Minister proceeded to No. 2 Basic Education High School in Taunggyi and inspected preparation for 2022 matriculation examination rooms.

There, the Union Minister urged officials to cooperate for the students to be able to sit the exam without any stress and with peace of mind and to follow COVID-19 preventive guidelines.  The Union Minister and party then inspected the school compound and attended the needs. On arrival at No.1 Basic Education High School in Taunggyi, the Union Minister looked into repairing of school gymnasium hall and school buildings.

He also met with the State education officer of the southern Shan State, District/township education officers and principals who are the supervisors of 2022 Matriculation Examination at the school hall.  At the meeting, he called for working together for the successful holding of the 2022 matriculation examination.

Later, Deputy Minister Dr Zaw Myint called for making efforts to beauty the state and the nation with educated persons through promoting literacy rates in Shan State.  The faculty members attending the meeting reported the needs on which the Union Minister coordinated essentials.
