Consecration Ceremony: Buddha Images And Pagodas Consecrated In Pintaya

The consecration ceremony to the Buddha images, pagodas and stupas in the Shwe-U Min natural cave in Pintaya Township, Danu Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (South) was held at 6 a.m. on 16th March.

First, the members of Sangha led by the Chairman Sayadaw of Pintaya Township Sangha Nayaka Committee Baddanta Cadobhasa consecrated the Buddha images, pagodas and stupas in the Shwe-U Min natural cave by reciting “Anekajati Samsaram” pali verses.

Next, the chairman of Danu Self-Administered Zone Administration Council U Ar Kar Lin and members and the township level departmental officials observed five precepts from the Sangha, offered offertories to the members of Sangha and shared the merits gained.

The authorities and people of Pintaya Township holds the Shwe-U Min natural cave pagoda festival in Dabaung month during March and Gathering of Danu nationalities yearly since the many years ago. But those festivals cannot be held due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Even though, the Shwe-U Min natural cave and KonLon San Kyaung are packed with the pilgrims come from the regions far and near, it’s reported.
