Development Projects: National Planning Commission’s Meeting Held In NPT

National Planning Commission held its meeting in Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday. Chairman of the Commission Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the meeting and gave a speech.

The Prime Minister said preparations have to be made for fully implementation of the projects with less risks. National Planning for 2022-2023 has been drafted based on 5-year national development plan. Priorities will be made for production and service sectors for economic development as well as for the welfare and food sufficiency of local people.

As a short term plan, COVID-19 vaccine has been allowed to produce through Ready to fill bulk by purchasing Sinopharm vaccine from China, and it will help to reduce the use of foreign currency for the country. Necessary plans have to be drafted for boosting local economies to have market competency and meet the quality. It also needed to balance demand and supply for stability of the price. The Prime Minister stressed to make coordinated efforts for resuming the operation of the factories and workshops which have been suspended, smooth process of investment, human resource development, better health care system, food safety, promoting traditional medicines and sports sector development.

Vice Chairman of the Commission Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior-General Soe Win discussed that based on the data and statistics, it is targeted to have 4.3% growth of economy for 5-year nation development plan. For successful implementation of the projects, it needs to consider socio-economic condition of the country as well as the impact of international arena, economy and stability of partner countries.

He also stressed that COVID-19 vaccination process has been accelerated and it is targeted to complete cent percent coverage of vaccination by the end of April this year. It was followed by the general round of discussions on the work undertakings. The Prime Minister called for cooperative efforts of all concerned persons in overcoming the challenges in implementation of the tasks trhough responsibility and accountability.
