Religious Titles Conferring: Union Minister Inspects Preparation For Ceremony

Chairman of the Leading Committee for Organizing religious titles conferring and rice donation ceremony 2022, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko, deputy ministers and officials on Sunday inspected preparations for offering alms food for title recipient Sayadaws at the Sasana Maha Beikman in Uppata Santi Pagoda compound in Nay Pyi Taw, sanitation tasks inside and outside of the building in line with COVID-19 guidelines and rehersal for alms food offering ceremony.

Afterwards, the Union Minister and party visited Nay Pyi Taw Airport and welcomed Chairman Sayadaw of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, the Joint-Secretary Sayadaw and foreign title recipient Sayadaws from Sri Lanka and took them to the Sangha Rama religious building in Uppatasanti Pagoda compound.

The Union Minister and party then looked into preparation for accommodation of Sayadaws in the religious building and paid homage to Chairman Sayadaw of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, the Joint-Secretary Sayadaw and title recipient Sayadaws.

They then inspected construction of pandals by respective ministries for rice donation to monks and nuns and preparatory measures and coordinated with relevant sub-committes to fulfill the needs.

The Religious Title Conferring Ceremony 2022 will be held at the Sasana Beikman in the Uppata Santi Pagoda compound in Nay Pyi Taw on 16th March, the full-moon day of Tabaung.
