






Mandalay Region completed cent percent of its target for Pan Khin Project for issuing National Registration Cards. Union Minister for Immigration and Populations U Khin Yi on Saturday attended the ceremony to mark the successful completion of the project in Mandalay.
The Union Minister said Mandalay Region is the fourth Region that exceeded the target of Pan Khin project, and expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the departmental staff, local authorities, related departments, social organizations and ward and village administrators.
He urged all to make cooperative efforts since the process has to be carried out constantly. The Union Minister later presented the certificates of honour to the staff and concerned persons, and also praised them with the promoted position.
Mandalay Region is comprised with 7 districts, 28 townships, 282 wards, 1,414 village-tract and 4,792 villages. Over 380,000 NRC cards have been targeted to issue in Mandalay Region under the project and over 389,000 cards have already been completed, with more than 102%.
The Union Minister also discussed the plans for implementation of e-ID system, which is essential for fostering e-Government system. Later in the day, the Union Minister met with the staff of district and township offices in Mandalay Region and gave instructions.Â
