
The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures.
The Ministry reported 641 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Saturday after testing 15,528 lab specimens within 24 hours. 3 patients have died due to the disease while 1,356 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 604,860 with 19,406 deaths and 556,646 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.
The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Germany, Turkey, Italy, Spain and Argentina, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:49 pm CET on 12 March, there have been over 452.201 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 6.029 million deaths.
