Boxing legend and presidential candidate Manny Pacquiao was greeted by hundreds of supporters during his campaign sortie in Manila on Wednesday.

The eight-division world champion and Philippines Senator who last year retired from the ring signed autographs and took selfies with his supporters. Pacquiao is still optimistic even though he is currently on the third place in a recent presidential survey.  He has vowed to jail corrupt politicians and provide free housing to the poor. He made his professional boxing debut as a junior flyweight in 1995, at the age of 16, fighting his way out of abject poverty to become one of the world's highest-paid athletes.
