Ethnic Affairs: States & Regions Ethnic Ministers Assigned Duties

States and regions ethnic ministers have been assigned duties on Friday to commemorate the 75th Anniversary of Union Day falling on the 12th of February 2022. Union Minister for Ethnic Affairs U Saw Tun Aung Myint attended this duty assignment ceremony at the Ministry in line with the COVID-19 prevention guidelines.

In his address, the Union Minister expressed his belief that the ethnic ministers would serve the ethnic people regarding affairs, issues and socioeconomic development. Also, to tackle the ethnic disputes, Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung urged the regions and states ministers to adhere to the law and by-law. Unity can bring peace and a developed nation, he added. In this ceremony, 14 regions and states ethnic ministers have been assigned respective duties. A lunch was also served along with the ethnic performances.
