Industrial & Vocational Sector: Union Minister Attends Opening of 10-Day Training

To mark the 75th Anniversary of Union Day, the mobile Industrial & Vocational Training was opened on Thursday afternoon at the New Power Plant in Dhakhina Thiri Small and Medium Sized Industrial Zone.

At the opening ceremony, Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than said that the training is to mark the 75th Anniversary of Union Day, reduce poverty, create jobs and develop human resources.

In addition to 6 technial institutes producing about 1,000 skilled workers a year, 2 more will be opened son in Monywa and Thaton. The Union Minister contineued to say that plans are underway to open more technial institutes and called for cooperation for industrial sector development.

After his remarks, the Union Minister inspected preparations for the basic welding 10-day training joined by 41 trainees from Nay Pyi Taw area.
