Efforts For Rakhine State: Coordination Meeting On Stability and Development

Rakhine State Stability and Development Works Coordination Committee held the meeting 1/2022 on Thursday afternoon at the Ministry of Border Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw.

In his address, Chairman of the Committee Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung urged the attendees to report the implementation of recommendations made by Investigation Commission on Rakhine State and Advisory Commission on Rakhine State.

He also called for efforts for plans for further implementation of the recommended projects especially the project recommended by the regional socioeconomic development work committee.  Calling for cooperation, the Union Minister stressed the need to work on Taung Pyo Letwe, Nga Khu Ya and Hla Phoe Khaung Transit reception centers and resettlement sites.

This meeting continued with explanations and discussions on a series of matters including the Rakhine State stability and development, reception of returnees, humanitarian assistance, resettlement works, MoU between the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement and India, security, law enforcement, cooperation with the UN agencies and international organizations and plans
