Preparations For Union Day: VSG Inspects Full Rehearsal In Nay Pyi Taw

Chairman of the Central Committee on Organizing the 75th Anniversary of Union Day 2022 Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win on Wednesday inspected preparations in Nay Pyi Taw for the celebration of the 75th Anniversary of Union Day 2022.

There, the Vice-Senior General, members of the State Administration Council, members of the Central Organizing Committee, union ministers and many other officials inspected a full rehearsal on the Grand Military Review Ground and gave necessary instructions.

The Union Day in Myanmar commemorates the February 12, 1947 signing of a historic Panglong agreement that enabled the birth of a unified republic. The agreement was a key event in the history of Myanmar as it directly led to Myanmar as an independent state in January 1948.
