Border Development: Union Minister Makes Inspections in Shan State

Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung made inspections in Shan State. On the 6th of February, the Union Minister inspected the Kalaw-ShweMinPhone road expansion work, visited the nearby villages and provided assistance for regional development.

Upon completion, the Kalaw-ShweMinPhone road will bring benefits to 5 villages with over 3,600 locals in ShweMinPhone Village-tract.

The Union Minister also paid homage to Shwe Min Phone Pagoda, donated cash to the Presiding Sayadaw, visited the view point in the area and gave instructions on the view point attraction. On the 7th of February, in Aungban Township, the Union Minister visited the vocational training school for ethnic youths in border areas, provided assistance, held talks with instructors and students, made inspection of the school and urged the officials to offer advanced courses.
