Investment Affairs: Union Minister Holds Meetings And Makes Inspections

Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations U Aung Naing Oo met with Tanintharyi Region Chief Minister and members of the Regional Investment Committee.

This meeting in Dawei focused on matters including investment promotion measures in accord with the Standard Operation Procedure issued by Myanmar Investment Commission (MIC), provision of assistance to the existing investment which were permitted by MIC in line with the Investment Policy and the important provision of Myanmar Investment Law, Rules and Regulations. 

Plans for establishment of international fish auction market and marine products industrial zone in Myeik and the Myeik District water distribution project were also discussed. The Union Minister also visited the Regional Directorate of Investment and Company Administration Office, inspected the work processes, held talks with concerned officials and staff and gave instructions. On the 8th of February, the Union Minister visited the Dawei Shwe Pyi Company in Thabya Village-tract in Dawei operating under the permission of Myanmar Investment Commission.

 There, he viewed rubber production for local and foreign markets and coordinated the facts including investment and challenges presented by the Company officials.
