COVID-19 Update: 1,145 New Cases At 8 P.M. On February 8

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 1,145 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Tuesday after testing 25,156 patients within 24 hours. 211 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 539,554 with 19,310 deaths and 514,434 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, France, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, Italy, Germany and Spain, according to the World Health Organization.

Globally, as of 4:33pm CET, 8 February 2022, there have been over 396 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.74 million deaths.
