Perpetual Peace Announcement: SAC’s Invitations to Union Day And Perpetual Peace Talks

State Administration Council (SAC) issued the announcement 1/2022.

The announcement stresses the State Administration Council’s Five-Point Road Map for ensuring stability and development and flourishing the genuine, disciplined multiparty democracy, continuous implementation of peace process in line with the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement, 20 ceasefire announcements between the 21st of December 2018 and the 28th of February 2022, plan to extend the ceasefire period by the end of this year, the New Year Speech of the Chairman of State Administration Council regarding invitation for peace process, importance of perpetual peace for a democratic federal union, discussions by political parties for building a democratic federal union and Peace Negotiation Committee’s meetings with NCA signatories and non-signatories as well as political parties, religious leaders and peacemaking associations.

The announcement also states that the State Administration Council invites all the ethnic armed organizations to the 75th Anniversary Celebration of Union Day and to pre-coordination meeting on perpetual peace talks to build the Union based on democracy and federalism during the ceremony of the Diamond Jubilee Union Day.

The entire ethnic national people are requested to negotiate all stakeholders to attend the free and unrestricted peace talks and the Diamond Jubilee Union Day for restoration of the perpetual peace of the government.
