Public Rental Housing: Construction Of Housing Project In Mandalay Inspected

Deputy Minister for Construction U Win Pe together with officials inspected Mandalay-Lashio-Bhamo-Myitkyina (PyinOoLwin-Mandalay) road section on 5th February and also looked into MingalarYankin Public rental housing project that is being undertaken in Shin Taw Kone village-tract in PatheinGyi Township, Mandalay Region.

At the briefing hall of the project, the Deputy Minister heard reports on progress of public rental housing project, land allocation, placing apartments and budget allocation. He explained about implementation of 10,000 public rental housing project to have job creation and address settling of low-income people under CERF program and called for meeting set standard and worksite safety.

 The Deputy Minister and party then looked into plans for water supply to the housing and the entrance and exit roads of the housing project.

In the afternoon of that day, the Deputy Minister and party held meeting with the staffs from the Departments of Building, Roads, Bridges, Rural Road Development and Urban and Housing Development and discussed staff affairs.
