





Union Minister for Construction U Shwe Lay and officials inspected Sittwe-PaLinPyin Road, being implemented by the Rural Road Development Department on 4th February. Officials reported on concrete paving and gravel filling works, and the Union Minister instructed for meeting the set standards. Sittwe-PaLinPyin Road is 9 miles 6 furlongs long and it benefited 12 villages with 273 households and over 1,300 people.
The Union Minister and party later arrived at Staff Housing construction site and instructed for meeting the set standards. The Urban and Housing Development Department is constructing four 4-storey staff housing buildings in Sittwe, which comprise 64 rooms. On arrival at Sittwe-WahBo Creek Crossing Bridge, the Union Minister and party inspected the bole piling works and gave instructions. They later inspected tar paving of 24 ft wide MinBuu-Ann-Sittwe Road, and instructed for work site safety and meeting the set standards.
