New Building: Kokang Cultural Museum, Community Center and Multi-Purpose Hall

Kokang Self-Administered Zone will have a Cultural Museum to showcase their traditions and cultural histroy. Donor U Thet Paing Oo @ U Li Kyar Sho contributed for the construction of the museum building in the compound of the Information and Public Relations Department Office in Chin Shwe Haw.

The Stake Driving Ceremony for the construction of the building took place on 4th February. The building will be a 30 ft long, 56 ft wide and 12 ft wide facility, and part of it will be served as the Community Center and Multi-purpose Hall. There will be statues of Kokang Chieftains, small museum, stone inscriptions, playgrounds, garden and public places.

The contribution for this building was made with the aims to preserve the traditional customs of Kokang tribe and to expose the long history of Kokang Chieftains as well as to conduct training for development of young people.
