Returnees from abroad: Myanmar returnees welcomed back at border crossings

Myanmar nationals from abroad are welcomed at various border crossings.

On 19th January, a total of 176 returnees including 90 males and 86 females came back home through Muse in northern Shan State. 6 males and 4 males totaling 10 returned back Chin Shwe Haw and 1 male came back through Laukkai.

On Friday, 124 males and 55 females altogether 179 returned back home via Tachileik in eastern Shan State. Healthcare officials from relevant public hospitals and members of the Tatmadaw Medical Corps conducted COVID-19 tests and provided quarantine entry documents for the returnees.

They also explained the instructions of the Ministry of Health and departmental officials provided necessary assistance. The township administration then transported them to their respective places in vehicles and the infected people were kept in separate places to facilitate necessary medical and administrative matters.
