Education sector: SAC Chairman addressed meeting on higher education

The coordination meeting on the higher education sector of the Ministry of Education was held at the meeting hall of the ministry, Nay Pyi Taw on Monday and the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing addressed the meeting.

In his address, the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General said that the government pays the great intension on the education sector and the country’s education is wanted to develop. The education sector plays the key role for the development of the country.

All developed and developing countries are addressing the education. During the colonial era, the country’s education declined. After independence, the education was further downward due to the internal insurgencies.

In the states and ethnic regions, the rural education weakened for the language barriers and difficult access of communication and due to the insufficient teachers and many other circumstances, the education was feeble in the tenures of consecutive governments.

The SAC Chairman also pointed out the advantages and disadvantages during the era of Socialist government and State Law and Order Restoration Council. The senior general also highlighted to put efforts to turn out many educated persons for the development of the country, the universities are the places teaching and training the students to be able to consider the knowledge and skills.

So, the universities need to have a standard. The playgrounds and stadiums should be provided systematically for the students to do sports activities. Regarding with the learning, the present time is the IT era and many things can be studied via internet. The effective and deep learning is needed.

The students should be taught to learn the subjects in reality. Regarding with the administration, as the teachers teach with tendency, benevolence and sacrifice, their allowance has been increased according to their qualifications. The continuation of increment will be granted.

The precaution is needed with the regard to the financial expenditure to be in line with the financial rules and law. Then, the SAC Chairman prime minister cordially greeted the rectors, principals and attendees.
