Healthcare Services: Union Minister Inspects COVID-19 Treatment Preparations

Union Minister for Health Dr. Thet Khaing Win on Thursday at Thingangyun General Hospital held talks with superintendent, medical experts and staff of the Hospital.

In this meeting which focused on prepartations for COVID-19 treatment, the Union Minister stressed the importance of adherence to healthcare ethics, detection of the COVID-19 variant ‘Omicron’ in the country and efforts to prevent the spread, vaccination programme and quarantine measures monitoring.

He also said that hospitals need to make preparations for COVID-19 treatment in case of the next wave. Meanwhile, the hospitals have to continue giving public healthcare services. Also, superintendent of Thingangyun General Hospital reported on a series of matters including preparations for COVID-19 treatment and public healthcare services.

After the talks, the Union Minister inspected the preprations for COVID-19 treatment at the Hospital’s intensive care units, diagnosis processes and healthcare services and gave necessary instructions.
