Efforts For Kachin State: SAC Member Opens Ethnic Affairs Director Office

Member of the State Administration Council (SAC) U Jeng Phang Naw Taung, union ministers and many other high-ranking officials on Tuesday ceremonially opened the new Director Office under the Ministry of Ethnic Affairs.

The 80 feet long and 60 feet wide Office construction in Myitkyina of Kachin State in the financial year of 2019-2020 cost over 387 million Kyats.

They also viewed books in ethnic literature and law books for ethnic rights in the Office and gave guidance to concerned officials.

The SAC member, union ministers and officials also held talks with literature and culture associations at Manaw Ground in Myitkyina and provided cash assistance and gifts. They together with the literature and culture associations attended the traditional festival of Thanksgiving for new crops and enjoyed the lunch served.

Also, the SAC member, union ministers and officials met with staff and students from border youth development training centers (Myitkyina) and heard reports on the centers and teaching programmes.

SAC member U Jeng Phang Naw Taung gave guidance and provided cash assistance for the staff and students as well as uniforms and teaching aid. They also viewed around the center.
