Efforts For Power Supply: Meeting With Concerned Officials For Mandalay Region

Ministry of Electricity and Energy on Monday held a meeting with district-level concerned officials for electricity supply expansion, stable supply and loss reduction in Mandalay Region.

In the meeting at Mandalay Electricity Supply Corporation Office, Union Minister U Aung Than Oo stressed efforts for more electricity supply, continuation of transmission and distribution expansions, upgrade processes, electricity loss reduction and stable supply as the country sees about 15 percent increase in electricity usage year by year.

To strenghten those efforts, the Union Minister called on the concerned officials to make efforts by using quality products. Also, attendees reported on their works regarding electricity distribution, increased electricity consumption, plan for electricity loss reduction and other plans.

The Union Minister made a discussion on the report. On the 9th of January, the Union Minister also visited the Crown Cement Plant to observe electricity generation. Also, he inspected construction of the 230/33/11 KV 150 MVA main power plant.
