



The enthusiasts and experts are invited to observe the valuable fossils in Kyauk Padaung Township of Mandalay Region.
The Ingyin fossils (Petrified wood) and armors that have existed for many years are conserved in Than Bo Chaung Phyar village-tract of Mt. Popa area, Kyauk Padaung Township, Mandalay region and officials from Bagan office branch of the Directorate of Hotels and Tourism made a survey to implement a community based tourism in the region.
The fossilized Ingyin tree was discovered at about 17-ft deep in the earth and the girth of the fossil is 6-ft and 7 inches. It still remains to dig the remaining part, according to the village administrator.
The discovered fossils are deer horn, elephant jaw, tortoise back, cow bones and primates that are assumed to be existed for about 4000 million years ago in Myaing Township of Kakokku District. Many armour equipping stations that produced weapons to be presented to successive Bagan kings are still found in the eastern part of Than Bo Chaung Phyar village-tract.
