Independence Day Celebration: Flag Hoisting And Saluting Ceremonies Held In Bago

Bago Region Government organized the flag hoisting and saluting ceremonies to mark the 74th Independence Day in the morning on 4th January, 2022. First, the flag hoisting platoon raised the flag at 4:20 am in the compound of Bago Region Government Office in line with COVID-19 preventive guidelines.

Those presented at the ceremony were the Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win, Chief Justice of Region High Court, region government ministers, secretary of region government, region, district and township level departmental officials, region senior Tatmadaw officers, civil society organizations, representatives of national races and invited guests.

At 7 am, Chief Minister of Bago Region U Myo Swe Win and the attendees saluted the State flag together with the Guard of Honour. The Guard of Honour also saluted the nation’s fallen martyrs and soldiers, and took the four-point oath.

Then, the Chief Minister read the message of greetings sent by Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing for the 74th Anniversary Independence Day and the celebration was concluded.
