Roads and Bridges: Dy. Construction Minister inspected construction progress

Deputy Minister for Construction U Win Pe, and officials, on December 31st, inspected Yangon-Pyay-AungLan -Magwe Road Section, which is being undertaken by Max Highway Co., Ltd through BOT system.

They also inspected progress of construction KyayNi Creek Bridge. TheDeputy Minister instructed to carry out finishing works for the approach bridge and to erect signs for safety measures. On arrival at Ayeyawady Bridge (Thayet-AungLan) construction site, the Deputy Minister heard reports on work progress and gave instructions on systematic implementation of remaining works for water clearance, approach roads and durability of the bridge.

He also stressed for safety measures, following the COVID-19 preventive guidelines. The Deputy Minister and party later inspected the bore piling works. The Ayeyawady Bridge (Thayet-AungLan) is a crucial one for transportation access to KyaukPhyu Economic Zone.

They also inspected construction of AungLan-Thanbula road, concrete paving on Shwebontha-YwaThitGyi road, and construction of PaukTu Creek Bridge. The Deputy Minister and party later inspected the durability of Pathein Bridge.
