Courtesy call: MoFA Union Minister received India delegation

U Wunna Maung Lwin, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, received the Indian delegation led by Shri Harsh Vardhan Shringla, Foreign Secretary of the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India at 9:30 am on 22 December 2021 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw.

At the courtesy call, they cordially exchanged views on matters pertaining to the promotion of the existing friendly bilateral relations and multi-sectoral cooperation between the two countries in the areas, among others, trade and investment, border area development and the regional and international issues of mutual interests.

They also discussed matters related to ongoing projects of India in Myanmar such as Kaladan Multi-modal Transit Transport Project and operationalization of Sittwe Seaport, upgrading of 69 bridges of Tamu-Kyi Gone-Kalewa road, trilateral highway project, Integrated Check Post (ICP) in Tamu, strengthening people-to-people contact as well as India’s assistance to Myanmar for prevention of COVID-19.
