211 New Cases Reported At 8 P.M. On December 16

The Ministry of Health has been accelerating COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment measures and procedures. The Ministry reported 211 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Thursday after testing 15,418 patients within 24 hours.

4 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 304 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 527,714 with 19,201 deaths and 504,482 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are the United States of America, India, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Germany, Iran and Spain, according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 5:51pm CET, 16 December 2021, there have been over 271 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.32 million deaths.
