Inspection Tour: SAC Members, Union Ministers Make Inspections In Sittwe

Members of the State Administration Council (SAC) and union ministers U Maung Maung Ohn, Dr. Nyunt Pe and U Min Thein Zan made an inspection in Sittwe of Rakhine State on Tuesday afternoon.

They visited the No (1) Basic Education High School, District Information and Public Relations Department (IPRD) and Myanma Radio and Television (MRTV) retransmission Station. During the inspections, they met with school officials and alumni, and discussed educational development matters.

At the District Information and Public Relations Department, discussions were made for the promotion of library services, upgrading to a community-based centre, and cash assistance was also provided to the staff.

At the MRTV retransmission station, Director-General U Ye Naing and officials discussed the situation of television coverage in Rakhine State and Union minister U Maung Maung Ohn also briefed them on the reform of public service media. They also inspected the station and provided cash assistance to the employees. Also, they inspected the printing of daily newspapers at the Sub-Printing House (Sittwe), discussed matters regarding the increased circulation of the press, and provided financial support to the staff.
