COVID-19 Update: 274 New Cases Reported at 8 p.m. on December 10

The Ministry of Health reported 274 new COVID-19 cases at 8 p.m. on Friday after testing 16,605 lab specimens within 24 hours. 8 COVID-19 positive patients have died while 375 patients have recovered and were discharged from hospitals. Confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Myanmar have reached 526,024 with 19,170 deaths and 502,325 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals.

The World’s worst-hit countries are United States of America with over 49.24 million confirmed cases followed by India, Brazil, The United Kingdom, Russian Federation, Turkey, France, Germany, Islamic Republic of Iran and Argentina according to the World Health Organization. Globally, as of 4:48 p.m. Central European Time on December 10th, 2021, there have been over 267.86 million confirmed cases of COVID-19, including over 5.28 million deaths, reported to WHO.

The Ministry of Health has given instructions for office/department staff and everyone’s active cooperation in following the COVID-19 preventive measures including reminders of staying safe and healthy during the pandemic.
