Working committee meeting: 9th meeting to address the impact of COVID-19 held

The 9th meeting of Working Committee to address the impact of COVID-19 on the national economy (9/2021) was virtually held Thursday afternoon at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations.  

The meeting was chaired by the Union Minister for Investment and Foreign Economic Relations U Aung Naing Oo. Members of the Working Committee Deputy Ministers from Ministry of Planning and Finance, Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Commerce, Deputy Governor from the Central Bank of Myanmar and representatives of the Ministries concerned attended the meeting.

During the meeting, it was discussed regarding the situation on providing loans under COVID-19 Fund including the support for fishery and livestock sector as a first tranche, the process to provide loans for second tranche, the preparatory process to provide loans for the Film, Music, Theatrical, Press and Media and the upcoming plans of the committee.

The meeting also discussed relief measures carried out by concerned ministries, future plan of actions, and issues raised by the ministries and the business firms and corporations.
