Agriculture Sector: River Water Pumping Project Inspected In Magwe

Magwe Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin and officials visited MyinKun  River Water Pumping Project in Magwe Township on 7th December, and heard reports on work undertakings. The project irrigates 500 acres of cultivation land in MyinKun area, which grow paddy, double and mixed cropping.

MyinKun River Water Pumping Project provides food sufficiency of the region and greening tasks as well as boosting incomes for the local farmers.

They later met with the farmers, and gave instructions on development of modern packaging system based on the agriculture, and implementation of rural development by practicing the weather friendly agricultural process. The Regional Minister for Security and Border Affairs also discussed for distribution of fertilizers and production of agriculture produces.
