Social Welfare Tasks: MoSWRR Held The Monthly Coordination Meeting

The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement held a monthly coordination meeting at the ministry, Nay Pyi Taw on Tuesday for the effective implementation of social protection and social welfare works, disaster management and humanitarian assistances and the rehabilitation works.

At the meeting, Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khaing gave necessary instructions to implement the main tasks of the ministry such as social protection works for the vulnerable groups including nurturing and development for the children, development works for women, caring for the senior citizens, preparations for the disasters management, rehabilitation of the drug-addicts in withdrawal camps and restoration of them into the normal life in the society and the establishment of the university of sociology etc.

Next, the deputy minister U Aung Tun Khaing gave instructions for the future work plans and the departmental heads reported the future work process in relevant sectors and the work implementations in time-framework. The permanent secretary and director-generals supplemented necessaries and the union minister tended the requirements.

The meeting was attended by the responsible officials from the minister’s office and department (headquarters) in person and the regions, states and district level officials joined in virtual system and the meeting was concluded in the evening.
