
Chilean President Sebastián Piñera visited a rehabilitation centre for children with disabilities in Santiago on Tuesday as vaccination against COVID-19 began for young people between the ages of 12 and 17 years old.
During the event, Piñera stressed the importance of everyone receiving the jab. The inoculation of young people with the Pfizer vaccine will begin with those in the SENAME or National Service for Minors, detention and rehabilitation centers for minors or health facilities. Vaccinations are not mandatory in Chile.
