At least 11 dead after coach crashes into truck

On Sunday, a tour bus collided with a timber-laden truck and overturned in western Türkiye's Manisa province. Authorities confirmed that 11 people were killed and 27 others were injured in the collision. All injured individuals were transported to nearby medical facilities for treatment.

The crash occurred around 11:11 a.m. local time near the Akhisar entrance along the highway connecting the northern city of Bursa to the coastal city of İzmir. Interior Minister Mustafa Çiftçi and local officials dispatched emergency and rescue teams immediately. Drivers of both vehicles were detained as law enforcement launched an investigation into the cause, including reports investigating whether the truck was traveling on the wrong side of the road.
