Russia and Venezuela FMs speak after Moscow talks

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov welcomed his Venezuelan counterpart Jorge Arreaza for talks in Moscow on Tuesday. Lavrov relayed Russia's continued support for Venezuela, calling its "independent national and foreign policy course" appealing to Moscow. Venezuela was the first state in the Western hemisphere to register the Russian Sputnik-V vaccine. Russia's top diplomat also called for the US to review their stance towards the Caribbean state, saying that foreign relations should be based on fairness, equality, and mutual respect.
