Law Drafting Training: Training On Legislative Drafting Guidance Opened

The opening ceremony of training (1/2021) on drafting law and scrutinizing and suggesting bills was held at the Union Attorney General Office, Nay Pyi Taw on Thursday.

At the ceremony, the Union Attorney General Dr. Thida Oo said that the union attorney general office published Legislative Drafting Guidance during November, 2019 for the organizations and persons who are involving in the legislative sector to facilitate their works.

Although the arrangements were made to give training for the knowledge on Legislative Drafting Guidance during 2020, the plan was suspended due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. As the training has to be opened amidst the COVID-19 with the setting rules, although the training cannot be opened for the trainees covered the whole country, it is opened for the law officers in the office of union attorney general as the first phase.  During the training, the descrptions in the Legislative Drafting Guidance will be trained with the sample exercises to be able to apply it practically.

The trainees are urged to acquire the heritage of knowledge given by the training instructors. The deputy attorney general U San Lwin, director generals, deputy director generals, directors and trainees attended the opening ceremony of training and the training will take place for two weeks, it’s learnt.
