
French President Emmanuel Macron met with Libya's Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah in Paris Tuesday. They were focusing on ways to support efforts toward a political transition and a greater stability in Libya.
Earlier on Tuesday, it was announced that Germany and the United Nations plan to host a conference on Libya in Berlin on 23 June, to bring together powers with interests in the North African country and its transitional government. The countries that have been involved in the process include the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council, along with Italy, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.
