Miss Universe urges people to get COVID vaccine

Miss Universe Andrea Meza got her first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in New York on Wednesday. Meza, who is from Mexico, said she really wanted to get the vaccine so that she could interact with people in her duties as Miss Universe.

Miss Universe, Andrea Meza said " I know we are in this pandemic, but now I have the solution, we have the solution. We can go back to hugging everyone and don't be afraid to be close to other people. And I want to be close to you guys. So this is what my first motivation and that's what I aspire to do and in the journey that I'm going to have as Miss Universe even though we are getting out of this COVID pandemic."

She also said that taking her vaccine in front of the press was her way of giving confidence to those who are hesitant about getting the vaccine.
