Rushing flood waters swept through the streets of Mexico's northern city of Monterrey on Sunday. The flooding came while Tropical Storm Hanna churns through the region.

Hanna was weakening while it headed west over land. Hanna's centre was about 35 miles from Monterrey, Mexico on Sunday and it moved 9 miles per hour, the U.S. National Hurricane Centre said. Monterrey has been largely spared the wrath of Hanna, with nearby Texas worse affected. At one point, more than 283,000 homes and businesses were without electricity in the U.S.A. No fatalities from Hanna have yet been reported in Mexico.
