U.S. COVID-19 cases rise to over 3.82 million, according to Johns Hopkins University

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States topped 3.82 million with the death toll rising to 140,957 by Monday, according to the Johns Hopkins University. The state of New York reported the most cases, namely 407,326, followed by California, Florida and Texas. Medical teams of the U.S. Navy have already been deployed to the Texas to help the hospitals overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients, according to the Texas Governor. In Florida, scores of the hospitals had no available beds in intensive care units (ICU) as the confirmed COVID-19 cases continued to rise. Starting on Monday, the world's largest retailer Walmart requires all its shoppers in the United States to wear face coverings.
