Drug Seizure: Stimulant Tablets Seized In Kengtung

An unsuspected paper box to be sent to Pakokku was found by in-charge of “Shwe Taung Yoe” Passenger Bus Line at No.1 ward Highway Terminal in Kengtung on Monday.

According to the information, the Anti-Drug Unit checked the paper box and seized 9,750 stimulant tablets with WY brand wrapped with paper mixing instant noodle sachets.

Likewise, a combined team seized 5,900 stimulant pills with WY brand kept in a bag on the motorcycle driven by Ah Swae @ Le Hsaung from Kat Woe to Wun Pauk villages in Kengtung township on the same day.

In connection with this case, police searched the house of Ah Swae @ Le Hsaung and confiscated more 153 stimulant pills with WY brand. Files have been opened at Kengtung Myoma Police Station to take actions against the suspects under the Narcotics Drug and Psychotropic Substances Law.
