Quality Packaging: 3-Day Training Conducted At MFF

Live Seafood Air Shipment Packaging Training is being conducted at Myanmar Fisheries Federation in Yangon.

It was conducted by Super Search Capital Investment (HK) Co. Ltd, which has been established to invest in primary/ greenfield social and the economic infrastructure projects (PPP) in Myanmar and working closely with the Global Top 3 Air logistic service partner Panalpina. They plan to increase the service to operate three times weekly from market demand onward.

26 participants are attending the three-day training, which aims to provide the staff in packaging the products with international standard. 

CEO, SuperSearch Capital Investment, Foelan Wong said "The objectives for this training which is make sure our member staffs their doing the seafood and packaging which is fulfill the international standard. Because Air-Cargoes which is very high standard. That’s why we need to keep this standard to meet international pro-clients. That’s why we need to discuss training. Of course, most of our staffs are well experienced in Myanmar. But we need to standardize of their skill sets forward this kind of training for all of them."

In 2017-18, Myanmar exported just over 570,000 tons of fisheries worth 712 million US$. But the improvements are also needed along the entire supply chain such as in fish feed production, water quality management, preventive and curative support against disease, post-harvest technology and speedy Air-Cargoes services in time.

Managing Director, SuperSearch Capital Investment, Mike Aung Myint Htun said “Mainly, this training is going to whole procedures in details how we package the live seafood, how we delivered the packaged boxes to Perishable centre at Airport, how we board on the Airfreight and how we distribute the items when on abroad.”

In the mean time, the officials expected to export live seafood from Myanmar to China and Hong Kong market starting September this year.
