Flooding In Kachin: Heavy Rains Affect Over 10,000 People In Myitkyina

Heavy rains affected over 10,000 people in Myitkyina of Kachin State, according to the District Information and Public Relations Department.

Following the heavy rains, the Ayeyawaddy River rose; was above danger level; and flooded the city of the state, affecting 2,035 households. People were taking shelter at 26 relief camps across the city and aid and healthcare were being provided.
