The 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum highlighted the critical need forstrategic stability and political solutions to global hot spots during its opening plenary sessions. Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun opened the session by calling on nations to resolve problems through dialogue and consultation, emphasizing that traditional zero-sum mentalities offer no way out of current geopolitical security deficits.

Discussions focused heavily on how major powers can effectively manage their differences and de-escalate tensions. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Forum, which is being held in Beijing from September 15 to 17, featuring four plenary sessions and eight parallel sessions.
