Xiangshan Forum prelude concludes with focus on global security challenges

The 2026 Beijing Xiangshan Forum Navigator Meeting concluded in China on Saturday, setting the stage for the main forum by focusing on "Global Security Governance: Challenges and Approaches". The Forum brought together more than 120 defense officials, scholars, and representatives from over 40 countries and international organizations to address pressing global security challenges.

The discussions revolved around building a reasonable security governance system, enhancing Asia-Pacific strategic trust, and addressing risks in AI and military technology. The navigator meeting prepares for the full 12th Beijing Xiangshan Forum scheduled for the autumn of 2026.
