Xi, Putin attend signing ceremony of cooperation documents

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in China for a two-day official visit. China and Russia issued a joint statement on deepening the comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for the new era in the context of the 75th anniversary of China-Russia diplomatic relations on Thursday.

The two Presidents signed the joint statement following their talks at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. It is Putin's first trip abroad since his March re-election and the second in just over six months to China.
