Xi and Trump meet for high-stakes talks in Beijing

The high-stakes summit between Chinese President Xi Jinping and US President Donald Trump took place in Beijing on Thursday, centering on artificial intelligence, semiconductor supply chains, and tech competition. The two leaders specifically discussed on Nvidia chip sales, computational sovereignty, and the management of shared AI risks.

Aside from AI guardrails and chip equipment exports, discussions also include trade frictions, the conflict in Iran, and arms sales to Chinese Taiwan. During the talks, Xi said that China-U.S. economic ties are mutually beneficial and win-win in nature.
